Drew Fickett will have to wait a little longer for his next fight. MMA Junkie is reporting that he has been removed from tonight’s Strikeforce event after officials with Maximum Fighting Championships removed him from the card.
Fickett came in as a late replacement for Joe Riggs, and even has a fight scheduled for the MFC card on July 25th. As such, his fight against Luke Stewart tonight falls within a 45-day non-compete period which is detailed in Fickett’s contract.
Strikeforce officials are still reportedly searching for a late replacement as of Thursday evening. |
