Tito Ortiz has had to withdraw from his upcoming bout against long-time rival Chuck Liddell for reasons not entirely known.  We do know that it is not because of an injury or his health.  Apparently, his future as a fighter is in jeopardy.

Chuck Liddell will be fighting Rich Franklin according to reliable sources.  Rumors are swirling that the UFC is going to shoot for an April 17th bout in Nashville, that will show on Spike TV, to compete with Strikeforce's upcoming event, also in Nashville on April 17th.  It's one thing to re-play a show against Strikeforce's PPV, but this is an extremely leveraged tactic that could deal a deadly blow to Strikeforce.

The Tennessee State Athletic Commission has not yet received an application from the UFC to stage an event in Nashville but the organisation has until Thursday to do so. Strikeforce said recently they have the option of moving to the 24th of April but the closer the date gets the more problematic a move will become.

More news to come in the following weeks.
