FightHype is reporting that after a recommended sabbatical from UFC President Dana White to “get his sh*t together”, Jesse Taylor (6 – 2) will seek to make his debut with the promotion on July 19th’s Ultimate Fight Night 14.
Regular viewers will recall the debauchery instigated by Taylor’s celebration and the ensuing forced exile by White.
The live finale of the reality show was to have Taylor fight eventual winner Amir Sadollah, but because of his departure during the closing weeks of production, C.B. Dollaway had to face off against previously-eliminated semi-finalist Tim Credeur.
Dollaway gutted an impressive decision victory on the show, leading to a semi-final rematch against Sadollah. However, Dollaway again was caught in an armbar and tapped. The aftermath of the match saw the runner up protest the stoppage and claim he did not submit. In a post fight interview, Dollaway later admitted to submitting.
Taylor’s opponent in his UFC debut is rumored to be Dollaway at this point. |
