Nate "The Rock" Quarry is a magnet for bone crushing accidents. First, somebody rolled over his leg while in the cage sparring during a taping of the first season of "The Ultimate Fighter". Then Rich Franklin hits him so hard it crushes a couple of his vertabrae. Now he was on the wrong end of a golf club back swing which managed to break his orbital floor (a bone that stabilizes the eye).

“I’m just glad it was me and not some kid or other woman. We had grown men swinging these clubs. If it would have hit a kid or a woman, it would have smashed their face.”.

Nate thinks he will be ready Nov. / Dec. for a fight but that remains to be seen after his eye heals.
