Two Live cards went down on HDNET. MFC put on a good show Friday night and Strikeforce laid a rare stinker.

The MFC, a canadian based organization, aired their match last Friday with some really good bouts. Pete Spratt and Ryan Ford were the main event but Herb Dean (the referee) was the spectacle. The UFC referee botched call after call that included 3 HUGE blows after the bell sounded in the first round. The fight continued and Ryan Ford eventually got the rear naked choke to win the back and forth battle. Here are the calls in question.

Jesse Forbes, UFC veteran, pulled out a miraculous armbar in the third round against a very game Chris Camozzi. Chris had convincingly won the first two rounds and was looking to close when he exposed an arm that Jesse took and submitted him with.

Strikeforce, a California-based promotion, usually puts on a good show but this week it wasn't to be. Nortje vs. Sapp might as well been Butterbean vs. Genki Sudo.

The Norseman took under a minute to send "The Beast" packing with some stiff jabs and a couple hooks and ended any possibility that Bob is more than a freak show.

Speaking of freaks, Joe Riggs suffered a freak back injury that stopped his bout early against Cory Devela and Maurice Smith dispatched Rick Roufus in a "legends" match that should have stayed in the legendary status.

The fight of the night was Masvidal / Healy as both worked all three rounds vigorously until Masvidal won a close unanimous decision.
