Gomi set to face Pang in August for Sengoku |

Korean MMA website MFight is reporting that DEEP Lightweight Champion Sung-Hwan Pang and his team have accepted a fight against former PRIDE FC Lightweight Champion Takanori Gomi in Sengoku’s fourth event this August.
Pang is a 5 – 1 Korean lightweight standout in Japan’s DEEP promotion and won the lightweight championship by knocking out Kazunori Yokota at DEEP 35. He trains out of the CMA Korea squad out of the city of Busan.
Gomi holds an impressive 28 – 3 record and is coming off an impressive TKO stoppage victory against Duane “Bang” Ludwig at World Victory Road’s first Sengoku event in March.
The fight is officially scheduled for August 24th at Saitama Super Arena. Additional matches are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. |
