Chris Horodecki Tests Free Agent Market |
|
Chris Horodecki, IFL standout, asked for and received a release from the now defunct promotion. Chris is considered by some a major prospect in the light heavyweight division with a 12-1 record. His only loss came against Ryan Schultz last December whom he had previously defeated by TKO.
There are plenty of rumored offers for the Shawn Thompson protoge that include WVR (World Victory Road), Affliction, American Fight League, and the WEC. “The AFL has come in with a very generous offer,” Jeff Clark, Chris's Manager, said in a report to Sherdog.com, “but Affliction has said they will match it or beat it. We’re [also] continuing our discussions with World Victory Road.”
Although there are plenty of options out there, his management team appears to be weighing their options carefully. Rumored negotiations broke down for Horodecki to fight Gomi at Sengoku IV, which points towards a proclivity for deliberate decision making in his management team.
Regardless of the promotion, a blue-chip prospect like Chris Horodecki will need to prove his worth in a brave new world outside the International Fight League. |
