Bart Palaszewski Moves to WEC

Bart Palaszewski, ex-IFL striker, has been offered a six fight contract with the Zuffa-owned WEC, according to his coach Jeff Curran. Jeff made the announcement prior to opening his new training facility in Crystal Lake, Ill. which came as a surprise to everybody, including Bart.

Bart was one of the most prolific fighters in the IFL with 12 fights in the now defunct organization and his two matches with the "Polish Hammer" Chris Horodecki, where he lost by split decision each time, are considered by most MMA experts as pinnacle fights for the IFL.

Bart recently broke a three fight losing streak with a TKO win in the second round against Jeffrey Cox on the first Adrenaline card. His move to the WEC will mark a natural progression in Bart's career.

“I think I match up very well with a lot of guys in the WEC; they’ve got a lot of strikers and I think I’m going to put on some phenomenal wars,” he said. “If I get two really good shows, really good fights against ranked opponents, I think I’ll be able to get a title shot.”

Look for more "Bartimus" in the future.
