Nick Diaz was scheduled to battle Eddie Alvarez on Nov. 8th in what would have been EliteXC's last promotion this year but the show was cancelled after Pro-Elite, the parent company of EliteXC, filed for bankruptcy. Since a company needs money and lawyers to fight a lawsuit, Nick is almost guaranteed at achieving his goal of free agency.

According to Dvenik.hr and CageToday.com, Mirko Cro Cop and Alistair Overeem will rematch on the NYE K-1 Dynamite 2008 show. The last time these two met, the contest ended in a NC because Alistair struck Cro Cop multiple times in the groin and Cro-Cop couldn't recover in the time allowed.
