Seth Petruzelli, the fighter that KO'ed Kimbo Slice in 14 seconds, has created a buzz not just with his fist but also with his mouth. Earlier this week, Seth stated in an interview on the radio that EliteXC had hinted at only standing up with Kimbo and were going to pay him handsomely for the service. Seth has since retracted his statement but that hasn't stopped the media, EliteXC, and even Dana White from talking about it. |

Spike TV has confirmed that UFC Fight Night 16 "Fight for the Troops" will be a live televised three hour event on December 10th starting at 9:00 PM ET. The special event is designed to raise funds for the construction of "The National Intrepid Center of Excellence", which will service those from the military that receive traumatic brain injuries. |

K.J. Noons has declared that he is a free agent, despite the two fights that are left on his contract. EliteXC recently stripped their 160 champion of his title after refusing to defend said championship against Nick Diaz on CBS. Since then, there has been many accusations thrown back and forth between Noons and the promotion.

"Big" John McCarthy is leaving The Fight Network effective immediately. John is an iconic referee who officiated since UFC 1 and then suddenly resigned to pursue a career in the MMA media as analyst at The Fight Network. His departure from The Fight Network marks yet another notable defection with both JT McCarthy and Loretta Hunt having left the network earlier. |

Casting for the ninth season of "The Ultimate Fighter" is now open and they are looking for talented Middleweights and Welterweights in both the US and UK for a showdown between the two countries. The format will be similar to this season with 32 fighters chosen and then there will be a fight-off to determine who stays on the show.

The salaries for the third CBS EliteXC Saturday fight are out and despite the KO, Kimbo was still the big winner with $500,000 worth of bread. Arlovski got the same amount of bread but was paid by Affliction instead of EliteXC. The rest of the payouts were higher than average except for a few exceptions near the bottom of the prelims. |
