It was announced during the SHOWTIME telecast that the biggest fight in the history of women’s MMA, the long-awaited, eagerly anticipated match between superstars Gina Carano and Cris “Cyborg’’ Santos would take place on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., on SHOWTIME.

Jake Shields, a world-ranked welterweight, submitted (guillotine choke) world-rated middleweight, “Ruthless’’ Robbie Lawler, in the STRIKEFORCE main event Saturday on SHOWTIME® before 8,867 who turned out at the Scottrade Center for the most significant mixed martial arts event in the history of the Gateway City.

One fighter has not made weigh on his first attempt, while another has been replaced at the last minute. Updated weigh-in results are after the link.

The WEC will stream their weigh ins at 7:00 pm Eastern Time.

WEC 41 airs live on Versus tomorrow night at 9:00 pm Eastern Time.

An all-star broadcast team will call the June 27th “Ultimate Chaos” pay-per-view event live from just outside the cage, led by veteran announcer Col. Bob Sheridan and colorful mixed-martial-arts heavyweight Seth “The Silverback” Petruzelli, from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley (3-0-0) headlines against K1 and PRIDE combat fighting legend Bob “The Beast” Sapp (10-4-1) on “Ultimate Chaos, presented by Prize Fight Promotions and Fight Force International, in association with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum, and Treasure Bay Casino.
