Both HDNET and ESPN have high production weekly shows that discuss all things MMA. "Inside MMA" features Ron Kruck and Bas Rutten discussing MMA along with a bevy of panelists. Last weeks episode features Amir Sadollah, Martin Kampmann, and CBS writer Gary Hermann. "MMA Live", an online ESPN production, features Kenny Florian as host and they discuss the recent EliteXC problems. Both are embedded on this site and will help waste 1 1/2 hours of valuable time. |

The California State Athletic Commission announced Thursday morning it had suspended Antonio Silva for 12 months and fined him $2,500 for testing positive for the banned anabolic substance Boldenone after a fight on July 26 in Stockton. Shortly thereafter, Silva’s co-manager Alex Davis issued a statement claiming not only that his fighter was clean but that he had no idea how Silva could have tested positive.

Edwin “Babyface” Dewees and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva have been fined $2,500 and issued a one-year suspended license by the California State Athletic Commission. The news comes within about one month of both fighters’ bouts in Affliction and EliteXC, respectively. |

It seems the EliteXC champion is unhappy with EliteXC. In his interview on "The NHB Show", the champ expressed his displeasure with everything from pay to the "respect factor". Now MMAWeekly is breaking the news story that EliteXC wants a Noons-Diaz rematch on their CBS card Oct. 4th and the Noons camp won't even call them back. |
