Following a 10 second knockout at the hands of a 48 yr old Ray Mercer, Tim Sylvia has been informed that his services are no longer needed on the Affliction Trilogy card, according to mma.fanhouse.com. He was set to face Paul Buentello on the packed card August 1st but with the fights less than 60 days away, it was very unlikely that Tim would have cleared the medicals due to the nature of the knock out by Ray Mercer.
